To be honest, this whole banhammer crap doesn't really phase me, i've seen it so many times before and it's just an admin who's just gone mad with power. Through hosting gaming servers for CC himself i've seen this first hand when i hired some admins from SA. They all abused the rights they had and cocked the whole thing up, so after that i just brought in people i knew were experienced with administration and it ran smoothly for awhile.
But when i usually look at the reason for a ban on a user on this site, i usually find out that the banned user wasn't in breach of TOS or anything of that sort, they just get banned because "The admin felt like it" or the admin says "Because i can".
If sheezyart wants to give this site a good reputation, then they need to be a bit more mindful as far as bans go, especially if they class themselves as a business and plan on putting a subscription system in.
Mm, thing is, most of the bans that are going around are just people being tightwadded about a lot of things lately. So what if someone posts a thing that's a rant on their page. Who cares? Unless they're directly insulting people in such a way that it's extremely offensive (Or the person being insulted is genuinely insulted) just ignore it. I mean, it's starting to turn out like DA and in the end, it's going to end up just like it, too.
A lot of actual artists leaving and a bunch of asshole recoloring tracers are poking up out of the woodwork. And notice how no one's really doing the job of getting rid of them anymore? It's more like they've been put on the backburner so the people who are bitching and trying to make a difference are banned because 'We don't want people to think we're that kind of site'.
Don't make it into that kind of site, and people won't think it. I mean, if they're telling the truth, why smack them? It's the internet, it's basically a free country. You can even shout that you're going to maul America's president and not get swarmed by the FBI on here like you would on the phone or something.
It's just kind of sad. One of the bigger reasons why I'm not here all the time like I used to be anymore.
